2023 National Volunteer Week

It’s National Volunteer Week in Canada! A time to celebrate the incredible impact that volunteers make nationwide.

Specifically for hospice, Volunteers are the foundation of sustainable hospice programs; contributing on all levels from direct client care to ground maintenance!

At Philip Aziz Centre & Emily’s House, Volunteers contributed over 22,730 hours of service last fiscal year (April 2022-March 2023)!!

Volunteering is an action we take to support one another. All our interconnected actions help make our communities strong and vibrant.

During National Volunteer Week, we celebrate our volunteers – the time, talent and energy they share to strengthen the fabric of our hospice community.
