LSA is launching a Caring Initiative partnership with the Philip Aziz Centre for Hospice Care to help get our beloved community involved.
The Philip Aziz Centre for Hospice Care and Emily’s House children’s hospice provide a wide range of care supports for adults and children during a palliative prognosis, and at the end of life. Special supports are also available for their families. Hospice care is provided in a person’s own home, or in Toronto’s first children’s hospice residence. Trained volunteers are a huge help in making compassionate hospice supports accessible to those in need.
How you can help:
- Volunteers are always needed. Learn about becoming a hospice volunteer and decide if it would be a good fit for you.
- Funds are always needed. It cost approximately $300 to train one volunteer, and approximately $1000 to provide 24 hours of care at Emily’s House children’s hospice.
- Donations can be made online, directly to the charity: Click Here
- Please join us at in-person event. Details will follow from volunteers Muhammad and Riad.
We call on all those within our community to join us in our endeavours to help the Philip Centre for Hospice Care and Emily’s House children’s hospice!
