Hockey for Grace is a 3-on-3 Hockey Tournament and Charity Social event dedicated to honoring the legacy of Grace Manning while supporting Emily’s House Children’s Hospice. Organized by Amy & Chris Manning, this event is a heartfelt tribute to their daughter Grace, who was born February 16th 2016 and spent five of her eight short but meaningful days at Emily’s House.

Emily’s House provided Grace & her family with compassionate care, comfort, and support, allowing them to create cherished memories together. This experience is what inspired the Manning’s to give back an organization that means so much to them. Hockey for Grace is more than just a tournament—it’s a celebration of Grace’s spirit and a meaningful way to raise awareness for Pregnancy & Infant Loss, ensuring her legacy continues to touch lives.

3-On-3 Hockey Tournament:
A three division, two day, 3-on-3 tournament designed for players of all skill levels. Hosted at Newmarket’s NTR, the tournament offers recreational, intermediate and competitive divisions. Each team is guaranteed three games, with a chance to compete for a division championship trophy—no participation trophies here, so bring your A-game!

Kids Game:
A special highlight of the tournament is the Kids Game, which brings young players to the ice in a fun and friendly competition. Featuring two divisions – ages 8 and under (half-ice) and ages 9 and up (full-ice) – this game is a fan favorite and opportunity for the
next generation of players to participate in the excitement.

Kidz Zone & Family BBQ:
Hockey for Grace is a family-friendly event with something for everyone. If you’re not a hockey player, you can still be part of the fun at our Kid Zone & Family BBQ held on Saturday May 3rd at Newmarket’s NTR from 11am to 2pm. This free event features activities, games, prizes, and more, plus a charity BBQ to keep everyone fueled for the day’s festivities.

The Charity Social:
The party kicks off at 7pm on the Saturday May 3rd at Market Brewing Company in Newmarket – and it’s a night you won’t want to miss! With over 250 attendees gathering to celebrate Grace’s legacy, the evening is packed with energy, excitement, and community spirit. Live music sets the stage for an unforgettable night, while games, door prizes, and an incredible raffle and silent auction table ensure there’s never a dull moment. It’s THE event of the year so grab your friends or come on your own, either way you’ll enjoy amazing food, an electric atmosphere all while supporting an amazing cause and we can almost guarantee you‘ll win a great prize along the way thanks to our incredible community and local businesses.
