Beloved Ranni – A Tribute from Emily’s House Nurse Karen
Where do we even begin?
Our hearts are shattered by the sudden loss of our beloved Ran. How do you say goodbye to someone who was Emily’s House?
Ran wasn’t just a part of this place; she was its heartbeat. Many of us met her when we started our nursing, PSW, or volunteer journeys back in 2014. Over the past ten years, she became family. Just last week, she was here—playing ball, raiding the drawers under the TV like only she could, startling us with her signature “BOO,” and then erupting into that infectious laugh.
Ran loved playing nurse, sitting at the vital signs station with a stethoscope around her neck and a BP machine in her lap. She made everyone feel special, even in the smallest of moments. She was an original, a light in every sense of the word, and a soul who touched us all so deeply.
Emily’s House will never be the same without her. Ran wasn’t just part of our lives—she was our family.
Rest peacefully, sweet Rannie. You will forever be in our hearts. 🤍🕊️
