Children’s Recreation is also Respite for Caregiver Parents

Recreation for children with complex care needs provides much-needed respite for caregiver parents – a chance to recharge, and to manage some of the other priorities.

An Emily’s House mom wrote to let the team know that she was so appreciative of all the care provided to her daughter:

“Thank you all for taking care of my princess with so much kindness and love. This was my first ever trip without her and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help and support of Emily’s House. I had my trip with so much peace of mind. The pictures and messages that you sent were like a medicine of peace and tranquility for me that made many struggles of this trip less difficult.”
