Testimonials from past clients of the IMPACT, a partner project of Emily’s House children’s hospice

“The IMPACT team has been instrumental in helping us navigate the heartbreaking experience of losing our baby. Especially when preparing for his loss, what would happen on the day of and next days. It’s difficult to express how grateful I am to this team and the love and empathy they show. IMPACT had also prepared teddy bears and a book to help my kids cope with the loss as well as clay to take imprint of our baby’s hands and feet.”
“While preparing for a potential loss of my child, the IMPACT team was there with guidance, comfort and an ear. At my lowest point, after losing my son, not only was someone there to comfort me as I heard the news, but they were an ever-present presence, providing a listening ear, and council.”
“IMPACT has been involved in our grief journey before it even started, the items given to us at the hospital are items I still hold near. Almost 3 years later I still feel like my son’s life mattered to more people than just me.”
“I never felt alone throughout my unique journey and I am forever grateful to be surrounded by a team that genuinely cares.”
“As an immigrant who left family far behind, I had no one to share my pain and grief with except the IMPACT team. Their work cannot be measured by numbers alone – the unseen support they provide to families, mothers, and society is invaluable. In a materialistic world, offering peace and comfort to a troubled heart is truly priceless.”
“It was also particularly helpful that team members reached out to me on a regular basis.”
“The IMPACT Program has been a true source of comfort and strength for my family during one of the most difficult times in our lives.”
