Emily’s House Sensational Sensory Summer Camp Highlights

Emily’s House Sensational Sensory Summer Camp was held at Emily’s House children’s hospice in July and incorporated all the senses into five days of sensory adventures, play with purpose, music therapy group activities, and magical moments.

The children FELT the touch of a prickly hedgehog, furry friends, soft plush toys, slime they made in the Emily’s House kitchen, the comfort of a reassuring cuddle from our hospice care team, and inclusion in this wonderful little community.

They SAW a rooftop view, brightly coloured pasta, superheroes, smiles, Snoezelen Room sensory stimulation, and a child life practitioner with a small animal on her head.

They HEARD a kitty cat purring, music therapy singalong songs, the lilt of laughter, and the many sounds of friendship.

They TASTED treats and sweets.

For what they SMELT, well, you have to “scratch and sniff” the photo on your screen! Hahaha!
