Family Perspectives on Making Every Day Count with Children’s Palliative Care
Emily’s House’s family advisory Council member, Amy Manning (mom to baby Grace), participated in a recent panel discussion on the lived experiences of three families whose children received hospice palliative care.
Amy shared:
- “The first time I went to Emily’s House was the first time I felt like a mom…. It felt like home.”
- “The nurse suggested that maybe Grace would like to try some ice cream.”
- “My husband and I say, they saved us. They saved our marriage….”
A video of the complete panel discussion Family Perspectives on Making Every Day Count with Children’s Palliative Care is now available from Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association.
