Volunteerism is not just about meeting needs—it is about holding people in the space they are in, creating a culture where they feel seen, valued, and accompanied, no matter where they are on their voyage.
Having lost a loved one during COVID who he wasn’t allowed to visit due to lockdown protocols, one volunteer working with people living with dementia, felt a strong pull to ensure others could experience dignity, connection, and love at the end of their lives. He finds the role deeply meaningful, and learns so much from the people with whom he spends time….
