IMPACT’s First Wave of Light, Oct 15th
by Tammy Vaters, Grief Support Coordinator IMPACT
Our first Wave of Light event was held October 15th, and it turned out to be a small but meaningful gathering of children and adults.
The children spent time colouring stars for their baby sister. Together, as a family, they wrote messages on ribbons and tied them to our Tree Remembers. The tree has now found a home in the Emily’s House chapel, where it can continue to be a place of remembrance for the babies and families we support.
The evening unfolded very naturally. Stories were shared. There were moments of laughter and reflection, and so much love for this little girl. There was no pressure or expectation, just an opportunity for this family to be together, remember their baby, and feel surrounded by people who genuinely care.
The family was really touched to learn about the Global Wave of Light.
Thank you for supporting this opportunity and helping us create another way for families to stay connected, honour their babies, and know they haven’t been forgotten.
