Personal Support Worker (PSW) Day in Canada
May 19th, 2023, is PSW Day
Today marks Personal Support Worker Day in Ontario. A day we remember, celebrate and recognize the many dedicated Personal Support Workers who dedicate their time, energy and compassion to children and families in every care setting every day.
You are essential service providers, sustaining our health-care system and providing high-quality community and home-based care; you truly are the backbone of our health system. And closer to home, you are invaluable to our care team at EH.
Note: approximately 35% of all PSWs in Ontario work in the home and community sector, delivering a range of vital services that reduce the need for more expensive hospital care, emergency room visits, or long-term care.
We honor and recognize the monumental importance of your profession, in providing the utmost of care, respect and dignity to our community’s most vulnerable and acknowledge whole-heartedly that the work and services you provide selflessly every day do not go unnoticed and are truly appreciated.
Thank you all for being a trusted, professional, compassionate and an essential part of our team here at EH. Thank you for the energy and love you bring to EH!
With Sincere gratitude,
Rauni on behalf of your leadership team, (Dan, Amanda, Kira)
