Spiritual Health Awareness

Last week was Spiritual Health Awareness Week. In our work we consistently see the value in supporting individuals and families with the complexities in death and dying. This short paragraph from another Spiritual Care Practitioner beautifully describes the spiritual component. I wanted to share it with you.
“We are entrusted with sacred stories, helping people gather the scattered fragments of their lives. It is not about doctrine or creed. It is about meaning. It is about standing beside someone as they ask “who am I?” It is about recognizing our shared humanity and helping each person uncover their unique thread of truth within.
Thank you for sharing in the vital work of palliative care!
