Your gift will help provide compassionate hospice supports for a child in our hospice home and his/her family; or, help our community hospice program support adults and children in the comfort of their own home. Unless specified, donations are directed to where the need is greatest in support of hospice clients, or when needed, for innovation and to introduce program updates to address observed needs and gaps in care. Please indicate if you would like your donation to be allocated to Emily’s House or to the PAC Community Program. Cheques can be addressed to either Emily’s House or the Philip Aziz Centre.
Monthly Donors
Monthly giving is the most cost-effective way to donate. Your monthly donations will provide support to our clients and their families all year round. To become a monthly donor, please send a VOID cheque to our administrative office with a note including the amount, allocation, and your contact information (Attn: Donations, Emily’s House / Philip Aziz Centre, 558 Gerrard Street East, Toronto, ON M4M 1X8). You can update your monthly pledge or information at any time, by contacting us.
Designated Gifts
Designated Gifts (Donor Designated Giving, Restricted or Directed Gifts) for special projects, specific purchases or capital projects approved by our charity may have specific conditions attached to the gift and/or documented in a Gift Agreement. Donated funds or goods are being accepted on the condition that they will be used for the specified purpose or project documented, unless that project has been completed, or for some reason cannot be completed, in which case, when possible, in consultation with the donor, funds will be directed to the general operational fund and applied where the immediate need is greatest.
Donor Recognition
To demonstrate our appreciation and to encourage sustainable support, we like to recognize our donors. Donors who make a gift of $1,000 or more are acknowledged annually on a list of Major Donors published on our Donor Wall, in our Annual Report, and on our website. For transformational gifts and donations to special projects/events, additional Donor Recognition opportunities may be customized in consultation with the donor. We respect the donor’s right to remain anonymous. Donor names will be excluded from publication when it is the preference of the donor.
Privacy Policy
We value our donors and supporters, and respect the privacy of the personal and organizational information that they provide. Our donor data and privacy policy is aligned with federal government policy legislation (PIPEDA), as applicable to non-profit organizations and registered charities. We do not sell or trade donor information. PAC/Emily’s House will maintain best efforts to comply with the expressed wishes of any supporter who does not want their name used in any public materials, wishes to have their gifts or services be anonymous, or wishes their name removed from our solicitation list. Our publicly stated Donor Recognition policy is to list donor names for gifts of $1,000 or greater to acknowledge our thanks, but donor names will be excluded from publication when it is the preference of the donor. We respect the donor’s right to remain anonymous.
